Rowan brings his rich legal experience to benefit each and every client, no matter the legal issue. He’s been on both sides of the courtroom, so understands the work of Prosecutors. But his heart is to bring hope and justice to those in need, and his track record tells the story of his determination to do just that over many years. Rowan confesses that airport lounges are his second home, as he is always moving to attend to matters around Queensland!
Rebecca is a Sunshine Coast local, but with wide international experience in legal matters. Her passion for the innocent and helpless has driven her career far and wide, assisting with anti-trafficking, conflict and arms resolutions and international equity and diversity issues. Closer to home, as well as building a great reputation as a defence solicitor and expert in family law, Rebecca is also an Accredited Mediator – and is an Australian Army Cadet Officer.

As a dedicated defence lawyer, Rowan is driven by a profound passion for justice, an unwavering commitment to his clients, and a deep love for the sport of rugby. But beyond his legal pursuits and his love for the game, Rowan is first and foremost a devoted father, cherishing every moment he spends with his beloved daughter.
Rowan brings a wealth of legal experience to the courtroom, focusing on Criminal Defence, Domestic Violence and Family Law Matters. Rowan has successfully defended thousands of clients in a wide range of legal issues, with the central vision to give his clients hope.
The sport of rugby, with its principles of teamwork, discipline, and resilience, has always been a significant part of Rowan’s life. Rowan has played the game at various levels and is an avid supporter of his local rugby union and league community. Rowan says that the lessons learned on the field, including the importance of strategy, camaraderie, and unwavering determination, have greatly informed his “hard-hitting” legal practice.
Beyond the courtroom and the rugby pitch, Rowan’s most cherished role is being a father to his amazing daughter. He says that every moment spent with her is a reminder of what truly matters in life. Whether it’s attending her choir performances, exploring Australia, or watching Disney movies, Rowan is committed to nurturing a loving and supportive environment for her growth.

Every office needs a Betty. Our Betty (aka Donna from the TV series Suits) keeps everyone on track, particularly focusing on ensuring Rowan is where he needs to be and has everything he needs. Betty is dedicated to ensuring the practice runs smoothly. She’s a self-starter and loves to keep the RK Law team running at their best!
Based out of our Cairns office, Betty is a mum to two beautiful daughters, and a bundle of energy and efficiency (after coffee, of course).
